The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (the Authority) would like to take this opportunity to thank you and Cryotech for all the hard work during our emergency operations in December and January.

I guess you could say we had an "Up Close and Personal" relationship going for Cryotech and the Authority during this time period. You personally saw that the Authority had ample amounts of chemicals no matter what time of day or night the snow and ice came down. Also, when you only had one truckload of chemicals available, you would call to see if we needed it before sending it out to someone else. You stayed on top of our needs, and you must have monitored the weather channel 24-hours a day to do this. Whatever you did, it worked for us!

Again, thank you for being a constant in an ever-changing situation, especially during the holiday season. Keep up the good work.

These guys are great! We had a very bad ice storm on Sat. 1/27. We used over 1800 gallons of glycol on one airplane. I came close to running out on Sunday, so we ordered more. It was delivered on Monday morning.

結果は全てのケースに於いて、驚くべきものでした。　当局では、ストームの間でも、散布した場所では80%～90%のベア・ペーブメント（黒管理）状態が維持できたのです。

当局では、全ての固体の凍結防止剤（ディアイシング剤）及び凍結抑制剤（アンチ・アイシング剤）はNAACの使用に徐々に変わっていくものと思われます。

As part of the review of our 1997/98 Winter Operations Plan we have evaluated the performance of NAAC (Sodium Acetate) in terms of its effectiveness in dealing with both de-icing and anti-icing functions on the airport's roads, bridges and parking surfaces. We found NAAC performed as well as or better than the manufacturer's performance specifications, in particular we found we were able to measurably reduce our application rates from those recommended by the manufacturer without any sacrifice in performance. We were also pleased with the material handing characteristics of NAAC as we experienced no problems with either degradation or binding of the chemical while it was stored in our indoor bulk storage pens (not in the totes provided).

Please contact us in August to coordinate our NAAC deliveries for the 1998/99 winter season.

RE: Cryotech NAAC

Indianapolis International Airport uses solid and liquid runway deicers during winter operations. Cryotech E36 (liquid potassium acetate) is applied primarily as an anti-icer to keep snow and ice from bonding to the surface prior to mechanical removal.

Last winter the airport switched from sodium formate dry deicer and now use Cryotech NAAC. We continue to use NAAC since we've found it a superior dry deicer. Put simply, it deices faster and at lower temperatures than sodium formate. We found NAAC was effective at winter temperatures of 10F. In addition, NAAC is produced in pellet form which stores, handles and spreads better than flaked sodium formate.

Cryotech Sodium Acetate (NAAC)

In the winter of 1998/99 our department tested Cryotech's Sodium Acetate (NAAC) at our Fort Smith Community Airport. We tested de-icing/anti-icing products exploring alternatives to UREA which is currently widely used in our system. I am pleased to acknowledge that your sodium acetate product achieved very satisfactory performance levels in our tests.


It was our experience that your product (NAAC) reacted quickly and less product was required in treating both anti- and de-icing conditions compared to UREA. NAAC appeared to keep working for up to 12 hours after initial application and left an ash-like residue versus the typical brine residue of other products.

I would also like to express our appreciation for the after-sale product support you provided.
