Skate Singapore 2000 was held at Fuji Ice
Palace in Singapore from December 1 thru
3, 2000. 157 skaters with total of 664 event
entries from 8 ice skating rinks in 5 different
countries, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia,
Philippines and Thailand enjoyed this 3 day
event. Some Japanese skates living in Singapore
(left bottom photo) also joined this event
and won many medals. The youngest skaters
was only 4 years old (representing Fuji Ice
Palace/bottom right photot) and the oldest
was 47 years old (also from FIP). There were
many reporters from the media such as local
TV station, magazines and newspapers interviewing
the top skaters ( left center photo). This
is an annual event and held over the first
weekend of December every year and an excellent
opportunity for skaters from all over Asia
to not only enjoy ice skating, but also to
make new friends from different countries.
The event is open for all age and various
skill levels for everyone. Why don't you
