This is a Joint Business between Kad Suan Kaew Ltd.(KSK), a owner of shopping center and hotel, etc., and Japanese capital Thai corporation, Leisure Patine International (LPI) by providing facility and resources that each party have. Refrigeration equipment and dasherboard package used in the 1998 Natano Winter Olympic games were brought in and installed on the top floor of the KSK shopping center by a Japanese engineering team who actually built the ice skating rink for the Nagano Olympics. 1,300 m2 ice surface is now open to celebrate year 2000. Please stop by when you travel to Chiangmai, Thailand!

Ice Skating Rink area. Aluma-Zorb Ceiling Curtain (see note below）is one of the essential material for Tropical climate to save energy. Also, the lighting system is designed to reflect onto the ceiling and creates very bright atmosphere.

The ice skating rink was also welcomed by many American and Canadian kids from Chiangmai International Schools.

Ceremony in the morning. From 7:00 am in the morning, 9 priests came over and all KSK and LPI management and ice skating rink staff attended this religious ceremony wishing a success.

From 9:30 am, opening ceremony was conducted. K. Suchai, a chairman of KSK, Mr. Ozaki, president of LPI gave a speech. Vice governor of Chiangmai and Japanese Consulate General in Chiangmai was also invited and gave us a celebration speech.
After the speech, the ribbon on the blue balloon was cut and balloon flew up in the air as if this new facility is taking off for a success.

After the opening ceremony, a Jr. Ice Hockey game demonstration was conducted. One of our Japanese engineering team member also helped the game as a referee. Our Thai staff made an excellent announcer to make the game even more exciting.

Figure skating show by skaters from Philippines will be held on May 20 and 21.

Now, ice skating is opening for general public. Many people were already waiting for the opening by the time the ice hockey game was finished. The class booth in the middle is a ticketing booth. Very clear and nice design. Various credit card can be used also.
Ice skating rink is open until 1:00 am today. It will be a long but successful day!
